WINGS2009 is ... ...an international experience for Guides and Scouts from all around the world. It will be based in Windsor Great Park in the Royal County of Berkshire in the UK for a week starting 1 August 2009. Taceham WINGS is ... Taceham Hundred District Scouts' WINGS Unit comprises Scouts and Explorer Scouts from the TACEHAM HUNDRED DISTRICT located in West Berkshire. The Unit is comprised of Scouts aged 10-14 from 1st Hermitage, 1st Cold Ash, 1st Woolhampton, 1st Thatcham and 2nd Thatcham Scout Troops; plus Explorer Scouts aged 14-17 from the District's Axford ESU. |
TRAINING WEEKENDThe Taceham WINGS Unit's training weekend for all participants will be Saturday-Sunday, 13-14 June 2009. More details of the format for the weekend will be announced later. But for now, please book the dates in your diary. The weekend will give all participants one night camping at a location away from the Thatcham area. More |
NEXT PAYMENTS DUEThe second installment of £50 for WINGS 2009 is due to be paid by the end of December 2008. Cheques payable to TACEHAM HUNDRED DISTRICT SCOUTS should be sent to: PETER SWYNFORD, RICHARD CLARKE, BEN TICHBAND or JULIA PAYEN. WINGS 2009 WEARThe WINGS organisers have opened an online shop at which you could purchase WINGS branded T-shirts and other items. These items are priced from £12 upwards. The night saw 90 guests packed in to 2nd Thatcham Scout HQ for an evening of entertainments and company. During the evening, members of the audience were
invited to be a jockey in one of the nine races held during the evening.
The Race Night held recently was a phenomenal success with around £700 raised to support the Taceham WINGS Unit. Thank You for your generous support.
