and the Italian Themed Quiz Night

On Saturday, 24 January 2009, the Axford Explorers are holding an Italian-themed quiz night to raise funds for the Taceham District Wings Unit and you are all invited.....
The evening will see the 2nd Thatcham Scout Hall transformed into an Italian cafe “Il Ristorante Taceham” when there is a rare quiz night. The quiz will be for team of between 4 and 6 people.
The Explorers, smartly dressed as Italian waiters and waitresses will be serving a two course meal and you are of course welcome to bring a few bottles of vino italiano (unfortunately we can’t offer a licensed bar).
The quiz will be made up of a varied range of rounds, a few of which may test your knowledge of all things Italian, and there will be prizes for the winners. Why not form a team and come along? There will be a few other fundraising games and events throughout the evening so bring a bit of spare change! The fundraising is in aid of the Taceham District Wings unit. The unit is taking over 80 young people from the district, next August to experience this international camp which only occurs every 5 years.
The entry fees are £7 per person, including the Italian meal. Doors will open at 18:30 with the first round of the quiz expected to start at 19:00. The evening is aimed at adults, and the quiz will be pitched at this level. The minimum age for attendance is 10.
